Green: YorkShield 106 PT will add to your LEED calculations
For decks and other wood structures exposed to the elements, YorkShield 106 PT™ copper flashing is engineered to prevent the unsightly (and potentially structurally compromising) corrosion of flashing between pressure-treated lumber and galvanized joist hangers and fasteners.
Unlike typical paper backings that wear away when they're wet, YorkShield 106 PT flashing has a new polymer backing (gray for easy identification) that effectively isolates galvanized joist hangers and fasteners from the decking -- and the corrosive effects of ACQ and other treatments -- so pressure-treated decks look better and last longer. It's the state-of-the-art deck flashing that has it all -- the protective qualities you want in copper flashing, plus no asphalt adhesive, so it won’t stain concrete, vinyl or wood!
YorkShield 106 PT is available in 8", 10", 12", 16" wide x 20' or 60' long rolls; custom-slit widths available on request.
YorkWrap™ Isolation Tape.
The perfect complement to YorkShield 106 PT™ copper flashing.
Want comprehensive moisture protection for decks? Use our innovative YorkWrap™ isolation tape in combination with YorkShield 106 PT. YorkWrap is a flexible, non-adhesive polymeric membrane that provides extra protection against moisture and corrosion at joist tops and ends, joist hangers and post anchors. Our 20 mil. thick isolation tape comes in 150-ft. rolls, 3 ½” or 7 ½” wide.
Note: YorkWrap isolation membrane is designed to use in conjunction with flashing; it is not a substitute for flashing and is not warranted as such.
